The answer

Whoever follows a funeral, prays over it, and remains until it is buried, will have two qirats of reward, each qirat like Mount Uhud. And whoever prays over it and then returns, will have a reward like Uhud. Carrying the deceased and digging the grave are acts of goodness that one should hasten to perform, due to the additional reward for those who undertake them with sincere intention, because the obligation is not fulfilled except by performing these actions.
