Is it permissible to offer the funeral prayer (Salat al-Janazah) over the grave of the deceased?

If the deceased is buried without a prayer, it is permissible to pray over them for up to a month, according to most scholars. However, if the prayer was performed before burial, the prayer is not to be repeated a second time, according to Malik and Abu Hanifa.
