Is it true that an uncle, who passed away 14 years ago, was bewitched after his burial, taken from his grave, and is now living in the form of a donkey, and is this permissible?
Death is the severance of the soul's connection to the body and its departure from it. The soul does not return to the body until the Day of Resurrection. It has been stated in the Qur'an and that the deceased will never return to this world, citing the noble verse: "And it is forbidden for a town which We have destroyed that they should return" and the of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, narrated by Abu Jabir. Man will be recreated on the Day of Resurrection from the coccyx (tailbone). Allah has made an exception for the resurrection of some deceased individuals as a miracle for the prophets. Therefore, it is not permissible to believe in the return of the dead to this world, and anyone who claims otherwise must be reported.
