What is the ruling on abandoning the supererogatory post-prayer Sunnah to hasten the burial of the deceased?

Once the preparation of the deceased is complete, it is best to hasten their burial. It appears that expediting the burial takes precedence over performing the post-prayer Sunnah (definition) (supererogatory prayers). This is for several reasons, including the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) command to hasten the burial, the availability of ample time to perform or make up the post-prayer Sunnah, and because the funeral prayer takes precedence over the eclipse prayer, Eid prayer, and Friday prayer, as stated by the jurists. Burying the deceased takes precedence over the post-prayer Sunnah as an obligation if there is a fear of the body changing, out of respect for the sanctity of the deceased, because an obligation takes precedence over a Sunnah.
