What should I do concerning my will regarding my burial and funeral prayer, especially since my husband is Shia and I am Sunni, and we live in Bulgaria? Is there any advice for me because I fear death in a foreign land?

If your stay in a land of disbelief is permissible, then it is sunnah (definition) to hasten the prayer and burial. It is not appropriate to delay the burial to transport the deceased to a distant place, unless there is a benefit, such as transporting from lands of disbelief to lands of Islam. Scholars have recommended burial near the righteous and in virtuous places due to their honor and the virtue of those buried there, but neither Baghdad nor Najaf has any proven superiority over other Muslim lands.
