Is it permissible to supplicate with the words: "O Allah, we entrust our seats in Paradise to Your care, so make them seats of truth in the presence of an Omnipotent Sovereign, in the highest levels of Your Firdaws, O Generous One, O Most Bountiful. O Allah, we entrust our gathering place to Your care, so make it under the shade of Your Throne, on a Day when there is no shade but Yours. O Allah, we entrust our scale to Your care, so make it heavy with whatever You will. O Allah, we entrust our entry into Paradise to Your care, so make it by Your generosity and grace, not by our deeds. O Most Merciful of those who show mercy, without reckoning or prior punishment"?

The legitimacy of supplicating with "O Allah, make my seat in Paradise a trust with You" is not recognized. A trust (wadi'ah) is something kept with another party, and this weak supplication suggests that the supplicant has guaranteed a place in Paradise with Allah. It is known that every person has a seat in Paradise and a seat in Hellfire, and one does not know which they will ultimately end up in, as stated in the Sahih (definition) Bukhari hadith (definition): "There is none among you but has had his place written in Paradise and his place in the Hellfire." It is better for a person to stick to the supplications narrated in the Quran and Sunnah (definition), for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, "preferred comprehensive supplications and abandoned what was other than that."
