Were there creatures who worshipped God before the creation of humans, and did God hold them accountable, then bring about another creation, like humankind? And were Paradise and Hellfire created for the two weighty ones only?

The answer

God's ability to create is eternal and everlasting. There are creatures unknown to us that glorify God, but we cannot definitively assert the existence of other creatures obligated to worship besides humans and jinn, due to the absence of a divine revelation to that effect. Paradise and Hell were primarily created for humans and jinn, as stated in the Quran. As for the prophetic , "As for Paradise, Allah Almighty will create creatures for it," it is interpreted to mean that God will create beings for Paradise who will inhabit it by His grace, not by their deeds. This applies specifically to Paradise, not Hell. Scholars have stated that God does not punish anyone in Hell without a sin.
