What is the meaning of Al-Suhaili’s statement in his commentary on the story of Jabir’s camel, and what is the point of reference therein to God having brought Jabir’s father back to life and spoken to him, and to God Almighty’s saying: "Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties," and His saying: "For those who have done good is the best [reward] and extra [thereof]," and His saying: "And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision"?

As-Suhaili indicates that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, clarified to Jabir the greatness of the favor bestowed upon him by giving him both the price and the item of value. He also reminded him of the story of his martyred father, to whom Allah restored his soul and granted him Paradise, where Allah spoke to his father directly (kifahan) and promised him reward. Allah Almighty revealed concerning the martyrs: "And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead."
