Should one repeat the taḥmīd (praise of God) upon rising from bowing if one sneezes while doing so, or is a single taḥmīd sufficient with the intention for both?

If a worshipper, while bowing (in ruku'), says "Alhamdulillah" (Praise be to Allah) upon sneezing, it does not suffice for the obligatory remembrance of rising from bowing. However, if he says "Rabbana wa laka al-hamd" (Our Lord, and to You be all praise), and intends by it both the praise for sneezing and the remembrance of rising from bowing, it has been reported from some scholars that it is sufficient. But Ahmad (may Allah have mercy on him) holds that it is not sufficient due to the lack of exclusive devotion to the remembrance of rising. Whereas Ibn Qudamah believes it is sufficient because this remembrance does not require a specific intention, and Ahmad's view is interpreted as being a recommendation, not a negation of sufficiency.
