What is the ruling on children boycotting their father because he married another woman, whether their mother is alive or deceased?

A father has the right to marry another woman, whether their mother is deceased or alive, as long as he is capable of being just between the two wives. Boycotting a father because of his desire to marry is a reprehensible act, an immense act of disobedience (uquq), and a great sin from which one must repent. Scholars have mentioned that it is obligatory for affluent children to help their needy, financially struggling father get married and lead a chaste life.
