Is it permissible for the children to claim the house they toiled to build, which their deceased mother refused to sell, in the event that their father insists on selling it after his marriage, knowing that the children are in need?

If the children and their mother built the house with their own money, the father does not have the right to sell it. He retains the right to claim his share of his deceased wife's inheritance and the right to reside in the house. However, if the father built the house with his own money, he has the right to sell it, and the children do not have the right to prevent him. If the children are in need of the house, they should gently ask their father not to sell it and remind him of the hadith (definition), "It is sufficient sin for a person to neglect those whom he is responsible to support." The father selling his house, in which his needy children reside, without necessity or an alternative, is considered neglecting them.
