How can seeking a specific position be an act of pure worship of Allah the Almighty, especially if the person and those around them see him as qualified for this position?

The fundamental principle is to distance oneself from positions of authority because they bring disgrace and regret on the Day of Judgment, except for one who undertakes them rightfully. This is why the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade seeking leadership. However, an exception is made for someone upon whom the matter is incumbent, or who knows himself to be qualified, and whom a consensus of the people of authority and influence deem suitable. In such a case, there is no harm in striving to attain it. He must then bear the responsibility with the intention of upholding justice. This varies according to the circumstances of the seeker.
