Does the owner of a halal meat shop committing minor Shirk, such as hanging and selling amulets called "Fatima's Hand" (or "Hand of Fatima" or "Hamsa"), affect the ruling on buying meat and other items from his shop?

The basic principle is that the meat slaughtered by Muslims and People of the Book is permissible, unless a name other than Allah's was invoked over it, or it was slaughtered in an unlawful manner. If the People of the Book sell pork in the same store where they sell halal (definition) meat, it is preferable to avoid the place if an alternative is available. However, if no alternative is available, it is permissible to buy halal meat and permissible foods, as long as they are not mixed with impermissible items.

If the hung amulets involve major shirk (definition) (polytheism), or if the shop owners practice it, then their slaughtered meat is not permissible. However, if the amulets do not involve major shirk, and their owners do not believe in their ability to cause benefit or harm independently of Allah, then their slaughtered meat is permissible, and minor shirk does not prevent its consumption.
