It is permissible for a traveler on a lawful journey of approximately 83 kilometers to shorten the four-rak'ah prayer, starting from the moment they depart the populated area of their village or city until they reach their intended destination. They are not required to repeat this shortened prayer upon arrival; in fact, repeating it is not legislated.
