What is the ruling on installing a receiving dish that only broadcasts the three Al Majd channels, for 300 Saudi Riyals as a one-time payment, instead of subscribing with the company for 1800 Saudi Riyals for three years?

If the aforementioned channel does not agree to that, then the matter reverts to individual intellectual property rights. Contemporary scholars have differed on the issue of copyrights for books, tapes, laser discs, and the like, holding three opinions: absolute prohibition (adopted by most jurisprudential councils), absolute permissibility, and permissibility for personal use but not for commercial use. What is given as a fatwa by us is absolute prohibition.
