Is the worshiper (ma'mum) required to pray with the intention of the imam combining the Maghrib and Isha prayers, knowing that he did not catch the opening takbir?

It is permissible for an individual who has prayed Maghrib to combine Isha with a congregation if he catches up with them for one rak'ah or more, and the Imam's intention for combining suffices him.
