How is inheritance divided among 5 sons and 2 wives?

If the deceased leaves behind only male descendants, then his two wives receive one-eighth as their prescribed share due to the presence of a lineal descendant, based on the verse: "But if you have a child, then for them [the wives] is one eighth of what you leave." This is to be divided equally between them. The remainder goes to the five sons by way of ta'sib (residuary heirship), based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Give the prescribed shares to those entitled to them; then whatever remains is for the closest male relative."

The inheritance is divided into eighty shares: - For the two wives: ten shares (five shares for each). - For each son: fourteen shares.
