Is it permissible to say the opening Takbir (Takbirat al-Ihram) before joining the row with the congregation?

The worshipper should come to the mosque with calmness and dignity, and not enter into prayer until he has taken his place in the row and then pronounced the takbīrat al-iḥrām. If he pronounces the takbīrat al-iḥrām before joining the row, and then immediately joins the row, his prayer is valid, though he has acted contrary to what is most preferable, based on the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying to Abu Bakra when he did that: "May Allah increase your eagerness, but do not repeat it."
