Is imitating the Japanese in language, food, and dress, without emulating their beliefs, considered unlawful (haram)?

Love should be directed towards the good qualities of people, such as their passion for science and technology. What was mentioned, however, is a deviation that leads to religious and moral corruption. Outward resemblance inherits affection and love, and what is more dangerous is loving disbelievers, for "a person will be with those whom he loves." The firmest bonds of faith are loyalty and disavowal, and love and hatred for the sake of Allah. It is obligatory to hate disbelievers and the people of immorality. It is advised to fill one's heart with love for Allah, His Messenger, his family, and his companions, and to take pride in one's religion and scientific progress. The Japanese did not achieve their progress through their clothing or food.
