What is the ruling on repeating the Beautiful Names of Allah in the form: "Subhan (Name of Allah) wa bihamdih"?

There is no harm in glorifying Allah with the ذكر (remembrance) mentioned, as it does not contradict the Shari'ah. However, it is better to adhere to the established remembrances (adhkar ma'thurah) such as "Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi, Subhan Allah al-Azim" (Glorified is Allah and praised is He, Glorified is Allah the Most Great); due to the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Two words light on the tongue, heavy in the scales, beloved to the Most Merciful: Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi, Subhan Allah al-Azim." Also, the saying "Subhan al-Malik al-Quddus" (Glorified is the Sovereign, the Most Holy) after Witr prayer.
