Am I obligated to obey my husband in taking out a loan from an Islamic bank to buy a new house, given my doubt about the permissibility of the transaction and my desire not to disobey Allah?

The husband does not have the right to compel his wife to buy a house or to enter into a banking transaction, even if it is permissible, because housing is an obligation upon the husband. Obedience to the husband is only obligatory in matters related to marriage and its

dependencies, especially if his command causes harm to the wife. However, if the wife wishes to enter into the transaction out of conviction, she should inquire about the permissibility of its method.
