There is no difference between the two fatwas. The first prohibited working absolutely in usurious institutions based on usury, while the second permitted working in non-usurious institutions that may deal with usury, as long as the work is not connected to what is unlawful. In summary, accounting work or other specializations are permissible if one does not directly engage in what is unlawful or assist in it in an unlawful manner. This is the controlling principle for any job.
