Does completing forty days of prayer on time get affected by missing some prayers during menstruation due to ignorance, and should the days be recalculated or should one continue from where they left off?

There is no evidence for the desirability of praying for forty days at the beginning of the prayer time. The Hadith, "Whoever prays to Allah for forty days in congregation, catching the first takbir, will be granted two immunities," refers to the virtue of congregational prayer by catching the first takbir. Some scholars hold that this virtue is specific to men, while others believe it includes women as well if they pray in congregation. If a woman is diligent in praying in congregation at her home and catches the first takbir, it is hoped that she will be included in this virtue, and menstruation does not deprive her of it. A woman must perform ghusl and pray as soon as she sees signs of purity (dryness or the white discharge), and it is not permissible to delay prayer by imagining that menstruation persists.
