The answer

A Muslim must advise one another, enjoin truth, and counsel patience with wisdom, good exhortation, and gentle speech. If you see sorcery or charlatanism, it is permissible to respond to them forcefully if you are safe from a greater harm, but do not resort to violence. If it escalates to assault, turn away from them and rely on Allah. Protect yourself with dhikr (remembrance of Allah) and maintain prayer in the mosque unless you fear harm, and seek good company. As for the innovator, clarify the truth to him and advise him. If he persists in stubbornness, it is permissible to boycott him if there is a benefit in doing so, but do not abandon prayer in the mosque because of innovations, for truth should not be abandoned for falsehood.
