What is the ruling on fasting Monday, the twenty-sixth of Sha‘ban?

It is commendable to fast on Mondays, and there is no difference between fasting on a Monday in Sha'ban or any other month. Fasting during the second half of Sha'ban is not prohibited according to the majority of scholars.
