Is it permissible to sell gold with the condition of retaining it and repurchasing it later at the market price at the time of repurchase?

The sale contract stipulates that it should not include conditions that contradict it, such as preventing the buyer from disposing of the sold item or selling it to a specific party. This type of condition invalidates and nullifies the sale according to the majority of scholars. Some scholars, however, consider the sale valid while the condition is forbidden and void, and this opinion is the more preponderant one. Engaging in this type of sale is prohibited because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade "a sale and a condition."
