What is the recompense for someone who kissed another man's wife?

The perpetrator of this act must repent and seek forgiveness, for he has committed a sin by kissing a woman unlawful to him, which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) warned against. This act approaches fornication, which Allah has forbidden, saying: "And do not approach unlawful sexual intercourse. Indeed, it is ever an immorality and is evil as a way." (Quran 17:32). And upon whoever is afflicted with this, let him seek forgiveness and perform righteous deeds, for indeed, good deeds erase evil deeds, and this applies generally to the entire Ummah.
