Is someone who boasts of their liberalism and denies that the miswak, beard, and jilbab are Sunnah or obligatory, and claims that Abu Lahab had a beard and a jilbab, and calls for changing Islamic jurisprudence to suit the age, and advocates for women's freedom, and says that men will have houris while women will have nothing, considered to have left the fold of Islam? Should one advise against associating with him or continue to offer him advice?

What you mentioned about the state of this man, of clear misguidance and deviation, does not constitute disbelief unless he describes Allah as unjust. In that case, it is disbelief and a denial of Allah Almighty, who says: "And your Lord wrongs no one."

As for shunning such a person, it is linked to expediency. If you fear being affected by associating with him, then you must distance yourself from him. Similarly, if shunning him leads to his rectification and return to the truth, then he should be shunned.

We advise you not to argue with such a man unless you have sufficient knowledge, so that no doubt may be cast upon you that could corrupt your creed. It is preferable to refer him to some research and articles on these matters.
