Does the husband's statement to his wife: "Perhaps you will not consider me from today onwards" constitute a divorce?

Divorce occurs either through an explicit utterance or an implicit one (kinaya). An implicit utterance does not constitute a divorce unless there is an intention to effect it. So, if what the husband said was: "You might not consider me a husband from today onwards," and he intended divorce by it, then it takes effect. If he did not intend it, then it does not take effect. If divorce does occur, he can take her back before the expiry of the waiting period ('iddah), provided that this divorce does not complete the three divorces.
