Will a wife meet her husband on the Day of Resurrection, or will her destiny be to marry Al-Hur al-’Ain? And if she married more than once, with whom will she be? What is the destiny of one who did not marry in this world? And will she be with her husband whom she did not love in this world?
It is by Allah's grace that when a believer enters Paradise, if his wife was righteous, she will be with him there. The one with a lower status will be elevated to the status of the higher one, so that their eyes may be gladdened. The evidence for this is Allah's saying: "Gardens of perpetual residence, which they will enter, and [also] those who were righteous among their fathers, their spouses, and their offspring" (Quran 13:23), and His saying: "Enter Paradise, you and your spouses, in happiness" (Quran 43:70).
As for a woman who married more than one husband, and all of them entered Paradise, the most preponderant opinion is that she will be with her last husband. Some say she will be with the one with the best character, and others say she will be given a choice. If she had only one husband, she will be with him. Allah will remove any dislike or discord between spouses in Paradise, and He will cast love for one another into their hearts.
As for a woman who did not marry, she will be married to whomever Allah wills, for there will be no bachelors or spinsters in Paradise, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "And there is no unmarried person in Paradise."
