What is the wisdom behind mentioning the number of days for the creation of the heavens and the earth?

Al-Qurtubi and Ibn Atiyah mentioned that the wisdom behind Allah Almighty creating the universe in six days, despite His ability to create it with "Be, and it is," is to teach His servants gentleness and deliberation in matters.

Ibn al-Jawzi added five other answers: 1. To display matters that the angels would deem great each day. 2. To increase the glorification of Adam and his offspring by preparing what was created for them before their existence. 3. To manifest His wisdom just as He manifests His power. 4. To teach His servants deliberation; for if He who does not err deliberates, then he who errs is more in need of deliberation. 5. To negate the assumption that creation occurred by chance or accident.
