What is the ruling on shunning a father who is ill-mannered, breaks up the family, and commits immoral acts?

It is not permissible to abandon one's parents, no matter what their condition. One must constantly supplicate and humble oneself before Allah for their guidance, with patience and seeking reward.

If a parent's harm becomes severe, it is the child's right to present their case to whomever can remove the harm from them.
