Is it permissible for the father to take a large portion of the money that guests give to the groom on his wedding night, knowing that the groom is not pleased with that?

If the gifts and grants given to the groom are considered part of his wealth, then the father is permitted to take from it what he needs without the son’s consent, based on the hadith: "You and your wealth belong to your father." However, it is stipulated that the father's taking should not be detrimental to the son or relate to a need of the son.
