Can a wife who committed adultery with another man and left her husband return to him after her repentance, or must she seek a divorce? And will her repentance be accepted, and will she return to her previous state?

It is forbidden for a woman to establish a relationship with a foreign man, and the prohibition increases if she is married, due to the betrayal of her husband involved. She must sincerely repent to Allah, conceal herself, and is not required to seek a divorce for this reason. Allah Almighty forgives all sins for those who repent, and transforms their evil deeds into good ones, as stated in His words: "Say, 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful'" and His saying: "For those, Allah will change their evil deeds into good ones." She must be careful not to fall into such relationships again.
