Is it permissible for a man to continue to foster a girl after the death of his wife who fostered her?
Adoption is of two types: The first is raising a child while changing their lineage, which is forbidden and must not be continued. The second is raising a child without changing their lineage, which is permissible. If you adopted the girl according to the first type, you must cease doing so. However, if it falls under the second type, there is no objection to it; rather, it is an act of kindness, and if she is an orphan, it is a means of entering Paradise.
Continue to care for and sponsor the girl without attributing her lineage to you, or allowing her to inherit like your own daughters, or treating her as a mahram. If she reaches puberty and becomes desirable, it is not permissible for her to uncover herself in front of you, or to be in seclusion with you, or to travel with you as if she were one of your daughters. There is no objection to marrying her or marrying her to one of your sons.
