The answer

If a man marries a woman and consummates the marriage with her, her daughter (his stepdaughter) becomes unlawful for him, according to the text of the Holy Quran. This prohibition also includes the stepdaughter's daughters. The reason for this prohibition is affinity through marriage.

Similarly, the stepdaughter's daughter is unlawful for her mother's husband if the motherhood is through suckling, because suckling prohibits what consanguinity prohibits. This is the view of the majority of scholars.

However, Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah differed regarding the issue of affinity prohibition through suckling. He held the view that affinity is not established through suckling. While Sheikh Ibn 'Uthaymeen preferred Ibn Taymiyyah's opinion, he chose to act upon the view of the majority as a precaution.
