Is a second divorce, without consummation, not subject to an 'iddah (waiting period)? And is it permissible for a wife to remain with her husband without love?

Divorce before consummation and a valid privacy is an irrevocable divorce, entails no waiting period ('idda), and the husband cannot take his wife back unless through a new contract and dower. However, after consummation, and if it is less than three divorces, and without consideration, it is a revocable divorce. The husband can take his wife back during the 'idda merely by verbally declaring his intention to reconcile. If he divorces her after taking her back during the 'idda, the divorce counts. If a woman with whom the marriage was consummated is divorced, then taken back during the 'idda, then divorced again without intercourse or privacy since the reconciliation, she must observe the 'idda of a divorced woman. Divorce is reprehensible in Islamic law and should be the last resort. Love is not a prerequisite for a stable marital life, as good companionship is based on patience, overlooking mistakes, and focusing on the positive aspects.
