Is Allah's response to a servant's supplication an indication of His love and acceptance of their worship?
The acceptance of a supplication does not necessarily mean Allah loves the supplicant or is pleased with him. Allah may answer the prayer of a wicked person or a disbeliever as a means of leading them on (istidraj). However, He, glory be to Him, answers the supplication of the distressed and the oppressed, even if they are disbelievers. But the acceptance of a devout believer's supplication is considered a sign of Allah's love for him.
