Is refusing marriage due to a psychological illness a sin and forbidden, for which one will be punished?

If a woman refuses marriage due to her psychological illness, or refuses to marry a psychologically ill man, there is no sin upon her in that. She is not obliged to agree to marriage, even if the suitor is healthy and sound, and it is even more so if he is psychologically ill. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, commanded accepting a suitor who possesses good character and religious commitment, but this command is not for obligation.
