What is the ruling on insulting religion for certain things, and does its perpetrator exit the the fold of Islam?

Cursing an inanimate object like a car is not disbelief (kufr), unless the speaker intends to curse the religion of Allah. However, it indicates a lack of control over one's tongue and self. Whoever is afflicted with this should control themselves and hold their tongue, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to Mu'adh: "And is there anything that throws people into the Hellfire on their faces or on their nostrils except the harvests of their tongues?" One must be careful not to persist in cursing, as it may lead to cursing the religion of Muslims, which is disbelief by consensus.
