Is it permissible for a father to give charity to many people, knowing that his son is in debt for about 10,000 dinars due to the high cost of living and supporting his family, and that the father is aware of this?

The father's act of giving charity to people is permissible and earns him reward, and he has the right to dispose of his wealth as he wishes. We advise the questioner to ask his father to give him charity, for charity given to a relative is both charity and a bond of kinship, and it is more appropriate for the father to help him with living expenses or debt repayment. We also advise to frequently supplicate to Allah Almighty for ease in sustenance and the repayment of debt. Among the well-known supplications is: "O Allah, suffice me with Your lawful against Your unlawful, and enrich me by Your favor from all others besides You."
