Will a deed tainted by hypocrisy be rejected only for its doer, or will it be rejected and punished for?

Ostensibility (riya') in one's actions corrupts and invalidates them, and its perpetrator will be punished for it. It is sufficient that Allah Almighty despises him and will expose him on the Day of Judgment. An action performed by a Muslim for other than Allah with the intention of ostensibility does not become righteous through repentance; repentance only erases its punishment. Thus, the action becomes "neither for him nor against him."
