Was the questioner's action of telling her husband about the whispers she experienced concerning belief in the Last Day and asking him to consult the mosque's imam about these whispers correct or incorrect?

A Muslim's questioning about what is unclear to him in his religion is the correct approach, in accordance with the guidance of the righteous predecessors. Allah has commanded this in His saying, "So ask the people of the message if you do not know." This command is emphasized when it pertains to creed and faith. The Companions asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about the whispers they found within themselves, and he informed them that "That is pure faith" and that Allah "reduced his (Satan's) stratagem to whispers." This indicates the importance of their questions and their fear for their religion and creed.
