Is playing cards permissible if it involves images, or not?

"Printed images of living beings produced by photographic machines are a matter of dispute among scholars. The fatwa adopted by us is that they are not forbidden. Therefore, it is not unlawful to possess items containing such images or to play with them. Among what is permissible are: incomplete images, images with unclear features, or images that have become worn out through use. Playing cards is originally permissible and only becomes forbidden if it involves something objectionable, leads to harm, or distracts from an obligatory duty. If people in a certain country consider it to be ignoble, then it becomes a breach of chivalry (muru'ah)."
