If a person says, "My marriage is invalid," what is the ruling on that statement?

If a husband claims that his marriage is invalid, then if he is truthful, he must rectify the marriage or separate from his wife. If he is untruthful, his statement does not affect the marital bond, and he must repent to Allah for intentionally lying.
