What is the ruling on watching TV series that contain un-Islamic attire, and are parents held accountable for their children watching such series?

It is impermissible to watch TV series that contain elements contrary to Islamic law. Parents must prevent their mature children from watching what is unlawful, such as looking at immodestly dressed women. A Muslim must also prevent those under his care, including family and offspring, from watching forbidden things that arouse desires and violate modesty, and protect them from the causes of deviance.
