The Shari'ah commanded spouses to live together honorably. It is the right of a harmed wife to seek divorce. If the husband does not fulfill his duties and does not divorce her, she can seek a divorce, either by filing a case in court or by appointing someone else [to do so on her behalf]. She is entitled to all the rights of a divorced woman.
