A woman is not permitted to leave her home except out of necessity or urgent need. She is not allowed to go out for leisure without her husband's permission. It is permissible for her to go out for essential food, drink, and clothing needs if she is safe from temptation. However, she is not allowed to go out for non-essentials without his permission. Understanding and respect must prevail between the spouses, and the husband must provide for his wife sufficiently and generously.
