Are the professions of law and judgeship forbidden in countries that do not fully implement Islamic Sharia?

There is no objection to working in the legal profession if it is for the purpose of upholding truth, refuting falsehood, and supporting the oppressed. It is permissible if it involves cooperation in righteousness and piety. However, working in a judicial position concerning punishments that contradict Islamic law is not permissible.
