What is the ruling on working in a department whose employees are accused of theft and bribery, and is it permissible to work there with one's knowledge of that?

There is no harm in working in that department or any other, if the nature of the work is permissible and one can perform the work as required. However, it is not advisable to work there if one fears being affected by the prevalent sins and negative manifestations within it.
